NEW YEAR 3 DAY DETOX

Recharge & Reset with our three day detox food plan - By Shauna Walker

Things to remember:

  • DRINK lots of water. Can also drink herbal teas whenever the mood hits.
  • The BIGGEST thing is this is not starvation. Eat what feels satisfying to appease  your hunger.
  • You can use any pure seasonings (i.e. cumin, coriander,  red pepper flakes, including fresh herbs such as basil, coriander, mint…) as well  lemon or lime juice throughout the detox.

Things to Avoid:

  • Coffee
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Sugar

The Menu Plan:

FIRST THING IN MORNING:  

2 cups water with half lemon or lime juice  

***wait at least 15- 30 min*** 

2 cups of pure celery juice *option: can substitute with pure cucumber juice or  fresh coconut water.

BREAKFAST:  
Option 1:
Oatmeal made with water, cinnamon, wild blueberries  * option: to sweeten add maple syrup or date sugar 

Option 2:
Shake: oat milk , 1/2 banana (I love mine frozen), handful dragon fruit, big handful wild blueberries *note you will find the dragon fruit and wild blueberries in the frozen fruit  section at most grocery stores  

LUNCH:  
Steamed sweet potato or potatoes with zucchini, asparagus, leafy green, and  any other veggie you enjoy. **But avoid all nightshades (tomatoes, eggplant…)

DINNER: (Try to eat dinner early around 6:30pm if possible)
Steamed veggies (like lunch) with 1/2 cup cooked millet or basmati rice (white  or brown), * option: can add 1/2 avocado if wanting more substance.  

ONE HOUR BEFORE BED: 
2 cups water with lemon or lime juice + hibiscus tea  

**SNACKS**
If hungry between meals eat 1-2 apples or applesauce. between lunch and dinner can include a few raw dates with apples
